Langston Baptist Church
Originally known as the “Upper Duncan’s Creek Church,” Langston Baptist Church was eventually renamed in honor of Solomon Langston (Revolutionary War veteran) who donated the land for the church. It was formed in 1773 and is about 1/2 mile from Solomon Langston’s home place and the Langston Family Cemetery where Solomon Langston is buried.
Solomon Langston is Laodicea “Dicey” Langston Springfield’s father. The video below is one I took at Langston Baptist Church during a visit to the area on November 3, 2023.
